What is the All-on-4 & All-on-6 Technique?

All on 4 & All on 6 is applied by placing 6 implants in the anterior region in the upper jaw and 4 dental implants in the anterior region in the lower jaw, especially in cases of total edentulism in the upper and lower jaw where the jaw bone has melted too much. Bone resorption is generally less in the anterior region. The high prosthetic survival rates and implant of the All-on-4 treatment make it a safe and predictable surgical protocol.

In this technique, the patient starts to use the temporary prosthesis on the same day thanks to the implants placed at special angles to the sufficient bone in the anterior region and the superstructures suitable for them. Depending on the availability of the jaw bones, 4 or 6 implants are used. The patient receives permanent prosthesis after 3-4 months.

What are the advantages of All-on-4 & All-on-6 implants?

Patients can have their teeth extracted, implants and prostheses made on the same day without the need for advanced surgical techniques or bone augmentation procedures (sinus lifting, bone grafting). Patients can come with removable prostheses and go home with fixed prostheses in the evening of the same day. Who can All-on-Four be applied to?

All-on- Four treatment can be applied to all patients with complete edentulousness (no teeth) who do not have any systemic disease that would prevent dental implant surgery and who have sufficient bone volume.

After the All-on-Four procedure, the temporary tooth prosthesis fixed on the dental implants can be used immediately. However, patients should be fed with a recommended diet during the 3-month period, which is the process of fusion of dental implants and bone. After this process is completed, the patient can return to a normal diet with a permanent prosthesis.

How is All-on-Four & All-on-Six applied?

In All on 4 treatment, as in all treatments, the patient’s intraoral and radiological examination is performed first. With 3D dental and jaw tomography, the patient’s jaw bones and anatomical areas are examined in detail. Before the treatment, impressions are taken from the patients and temporary prostheses are prepared.

Under local anesthesia, if the patient has teeth to be extracted, they are extracted and implants are placed. On the same day, an impression is taken from the patient over the implants and the temporary prosthesis is connected to these implants and the patient gets fixed temporary teeth.
